Crystal feels so lucky to be a part of a fitness program that is truly life changing. Her love fitness is because it is something you can accomplish on your own or with a group. She has always been a very active person and couldn't imagine her life without exercise. It is part of her daily routine and part of her life that she will not compromise. The feeling you have after a workout is one that she craves every day. The love of being fit and exercising will always be in her!
Crystal has played soccer almost all her life and has been through many fitness sessions. WhenIshe wasn't playing soccer, she was running and finding new ways to stay fit. She has received her Bachelors Degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Physical Education and is continuing her education by getting her Masters Degree in Kinesiology as well.
Crystal believes FitCHIX Bootcamp is a very unique fitness program that women can't get anywhere else. FitCHIX is more than just working out, it is a group of women who help each other achieve their goals. The support you get from the instructors and from fellow women is very unique. FitCHIX is a lifestyle not a one time fitness program. You are devoting one hour a day to your health and fitness, what could be better?! She loves working out with the FitCHIX and will continue for a long time!
Crystal loves to bake and cook. She is also a youth soccer coach for Placer United. She loves being outdoors and finding new adventures. Being with family is also very important. She is the middle child in between an older sister and younger brother. She is engaged to be married this summer and loves her life here!!
Becky Bradley
Becky has always had a desire to “move” anyway she
can,
whether it is running, playing soccer, kickboxing, riding her bike or
plyometrics during commercials she will find a way to get that great
feeling
that exercise gives her. She also had hippy parents who raised her on
natural
foods before it was trendy. Becky
has spent years encouraging friends and family to exercise and make
healthy
food choices. FitCHIX has given
her an opportunity to lead women in their journey to a fit lifestyle. The best part of FitCHIX for her is
watching the amazing transformations that the women go through not only
physically, but mentally.
Becky has been a teacher for ten years and believes
that
fitness starts when you are young.
She has four children and is kept very busy watching them play
sports.
Becky recently had her fourth baby and
completed her first triathlon before the baby turned 3 months old.
The feeling that she had after crossing
the finish line was indescribable.
She looks forward to encouraging more women to participate in
these
kinds of fitness events. She plans
on doing her first half marathon in March with many of her fellow
FitCHIX.
Becky believes that if you set your mind to it, you can do anything.
Julie Sharrah
Julie began as a fitCHIX a two years ago and was quickly recognized as an inspirational force in the program. She has a zest for running that is evident. Along with many 5 and 10k races, she ran three half marathons within a 6 months time. She also helps coach the cross country team and 5K Club at Valley View Elementary School.
She thinks FitCHIX is the best because of the variety of workouts (cardio, weight training, kickboxing, zumba, etc.), the motivated trainers, the delicious food plans, and the amazing women in the group.
She has a wonderful husband two boys and a cute Cocker Spaniel, Buddy. Recently, they started running as a family and love it. They plan to run many 5K races in the future. She loves to challenge herself and try new things. Her goal for 2010 is to run her first full marathon and complete a duathlon.
Jenna Schnaars
Jenna loves fitness and working out because it makes her feel alive. She is a motivated gal and loves to motivate others. As a sophmore in college, she ran her first half-marathon and since then has run 2 full marathons, 4 more half-marathons, and a handful of 5k and 10k's. Running gives her a sense of freedom and she loves to share her excitement for running with others. Prior to fitCHIX, Jenna was a Team in Training Mentor and joined fitCHIX in session 2 two years ago. She is also passionate for the thrill and freedom of water skiing, snow skiing, and just about anything outdoors. Her favorite things about fitCHIX are the bonds and friendships she shares with the women. This is truly the best program she has ever had the honor of being a part of and a group of the most inspirational women she's met!
Angie Edwards
Shannon Davison
Shannon's love of fitness began over 30 years ago. As a child, she would follow along with Jane Fonda and try to look as cool as her mom and sisters. Now she has her own daughter, she has participated with her in runs through the SF Presidio and Crissy Field, along the Hermosa Beach strand and has attended a great many TaeBo Bootcamps since she was a baby. Fitness begins at birth! She began her "official" Fitness career as a TaeBo Fitness Instructor for Billy Blanks in 2003. From him she learned that "if you plant the seed and nourish it, it is guaranteed to grow. As your will is tested it is also strengthened. While you push your body, you build it as well. As your mind and will are challenged, your spirit is embraced." Along with the joy of training adults and watching them rejuvenate into the agile children they used to be, Shannon also trains kids of all ages. She welcomes the opportunity to inspire others to challenge themselves mentally and physically. The joy she sees on a person's face when they realize "yes I can" is why she loves being a fitness trainer.
